Comicfiesta 2009 Artist Booth Rules and Regulations

Signing up:
*Anyone over the age of 12 years may sign up for an Artist Booth regardless of nationality.
*Registrations are to be made using the Artist Booth Registration Form provided by Comic Fiesta and sent to the address listed at the end of this document.
*Closing date for registration is 20th November 2009.

Sales:
*All items on sale must be an ORIGINAL CREATION by the SIGNATORY.
*Any commercially produced item (of any type) or organizational and commercial bodies of any kind will not be permitted to be in the Artist Booth. For commercial sales, product and event promotions, kindly refer to our sponsor programmes.
*Strictly no second-hand, violent, socially offensive or adult materials.

Time:
*The Artist Booths will be open for operation for the whole duration of Comic Fiesta 2009.
*Booth owners may enter one hour before the event to set up their respective booths.
*Booth members are allowed to enter the Event Hall before the opening of the event only when accompanied by a Representative(s).
*Free entries are only applicable for the day of the booths booked.
*A brief check will be conducted to screen for any potentially dangerous materials.

Booth:
* The dimension of each table provided will be 2x6 feet.
* Each island will be 12x10 feet, with at least 3 feet of space around. 6 tables are provided, and booth owners are allowed to rearrange the space as they see fit.

Chair:
*2 chairs will be provided with each booth.
* No outside chairs or similar furniture will be allowed into the artist booths area.

Electronic devices:
*No computers or any other bulky electronic devices.

PAYMENT:
*Please make payment by POSTAL ORDER
*Please fill in the field "PAYABLE TO" with "HEW SHIH CHIEN"
*The Artist Booth space will be confirmed by a receipt via email.
*If the SIGNATORY has not received any confirmation slip 1 week after you have sent in your form, please check your registration with us.

Misc
*Last day of accepting application will be November 20th.
*Please do not damage the chairs, tables, or any other facilities provided. Booth Owners are responsible for their own tables and chairs.
*Comic Fiesta reserves the right to evict owners from their booths if they are found to be breaking any rules laid down in this R&R.
*Comic Fiesta reserves the right to amend this R&R without prior notification.
*Booth Owners reserve the right to permit or refuse photographers from taking the pictures of their booth or items.

*For foreign applicants, a fixed conversion rate will be set. For participants from countries that are not listed, please email us at cf.artbooth@gmail.com to get your details.

anyway, mods, may I ask what happened to the form? it can't expand normally when clicked at anymore. and becomes like what happened when image is too big for the forum. I don't know if I'm the only one experience this problem now but I didn't have this problem earlier.

Very nice...but I'm not very clear on the booth island option, 6 tables etc although it sounds very interesting. Care to explain, perhaps with some photo examples/doodles?

TheRotijohnster<< if my vision is the same with the plan, the island concept is like.... rounding the tables into an island, it's like the booth owners having a siege from all sides, so all the 4 groups position themselves backs to backs to face the oncoming siege.

from the last time I see this formation, the space between the artists are acceptable

however, do correct me if my assumption was wrong.

I'm already sent the payment for an island. and FYI tis is my first time. So I never had any experience selling items in any convention.

My question is I dun have doujinshi but can I sell posters of original characters/original artworks and fanarts?

How does the Island booths actually work? Won't it affect the layout of the venue if participants were to arrange their tables left right, front and back on their own? And will one hour before CF starts is enough time for different groups to argue over this?

Will the normal booths still be in rows, or an island of groups who used to order normal booths but decided to band together?

An Island is just a 12x10 space. We give you 6 2x6 tables and you can do anything you like with the layout of the 12x10 allocated to you. A 12x10 is 2 tables across and 1 table-wide. There will be at least 3 feet of space around the island.

If we have to form a siege, we'll only have an area of 8 X 6, the tables sealing us in O3O Are 12 chairs still going to be provided for the island?
