Thanks for your concern!!

@wgfai: For your information, it will be held at Taylor's Main Campus, SS15.

@Shiru: We are inviting quite a number of cosplayers from all over Malaysia, and we have a group of Taylorians cosplayers running the Asaban Cosplay Cafe, which will be available from morning till the evening. We would also like to invite anyone here who is interested in cosplaying to join us, as the more the merrier!

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Of course. There will be a continuous flow of activities and stage events, such as cosplay competition (a must!!), Japanese song singing competition, manga drawing competition and PS2 battle arena (subjects to change). We'll also be inviting bands from Spirits of Music to perform live!

Further informations would be coming soon.

Anyway.. the main campus id where all the pre-U building is right?
will there be like a group cosplay competition or is it just solo?

You are right. Main Campus houses all Pre-U programs.

For cosplay competition, there will be two categories, solo and group.

er.. if you dont mind i ask, while every event strives to be outstanding in its own flavour, why are you representing TAF repeatedly saying stuff like "in any Anime Fest" and "like all other Anime conventions"? is this on purpose? are you trying to be funny.. =__=;;

@Shiru: Cosplay is indispensable in any Anime Fest. We are inviting quite a number of cosplayers from all over Malaysia, and we have a group of Taylorians cosplayers running the Asaban Cosplay Cafe, which will be available from morning till the evening. We would also like to invite anyone here who is interested in cosplaying to join us, as the more the merrier!

i hope you understand the difference between the term of maid and cosplay cafe before actually even thinking of putting your staffs into maid costumes to serve your customers.

i was hoping for more info on the objective and stuff on the event.

Still nada

@ akiko.wolf: I'm pleased to answer your question. Starting year 2009, a night Matsuri session will be held in conjunction with the Anime convention, hence why the name has been changed from Taylor's Anime Fest to Taylor's ASABAN Fest (ASABAN means "day and night" in Japanese). This combination of events will be the first time in Malaysia. It is not only aimed at allowing Anime fans to share their interest but also allowing Malaysians to experience and indulge in Japanese culture. The concept is that, while the Anime convention might not be much different from any others, the Matsuri night would certainly give you a whole new experience which you will never forget.

@ wanteddog: TAF Cosplay Cafe could be slightly different from Maid Cafe you have in mind. Instead of collectively dressing up as maids, our waiters and waitresses will each be representing one Anime character. In other words, customers will be served by cosplayers. Imagine Kurosaki Ichigo serving food with his Hollow mask on.

@ Freelancer937: Thanks for your concern. All details will be stated in TAF website, which is currently still under construction. We'll post the link once it is completed. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Ex taylors student and previous cosplay champ from 2008 XD < Bangga la sangat.

I think you probably know me already since I've popped in for your meetings a couple of times in the past. I pray the committee this year will do a decent job in making TAF a success and regaining lost rep since 2007's and 2008's fests. (i'm sure many a cosplayer, photog and otaku was disappointed some what for those two years)

Anyways, good luck! We'll wait and see what you have in store for us

Of course we know you, we surely do. You are almost always present in any of the Anime conventions and we therefore look forward to your participation in Taylor's Asaban Fest 2009 too. Thanks for your blessings and hopefully we'll pull it through.
