The Cosplay Club (TCC) is proud to present Anime-Me as a sub-organizer for Republic @ Sunway Pyramid. Celebrate all things Japanese with Ken Hiro Fumi, lead of the band John's Mistress, and DJ Nfekon, as they blast you away with a night of truly Japanese taste.... Kicking off with mind-blowing Japanese music played live (their own original tunes and latest Japanese song – 'Kimi') and later on a power-house of ANIME remixes!
Who else to enjoy and appreciate the anime theme songs if not for us, anime enthusiast! Feel free to invite your friends, anyone and everyone who would love to join the crowd at Anime-Me as there is no cover charge. You can't miss this!

Q: just wanna confirm. this is not for underage?
:: I wanna go! Humu, humu, though I guess it's not for underaged fellows.
A: Anime-Me is held in the premise of Republic, which we know club patrons are ages 18 and above because they serve alcohol. as far as i know, there are underaged clubbers depend on the bouncer to let them in. i hope that answers your question for those underaged.
:: its not advisable for underaged to go clubbing but if you are a frequent clubber *ahem* then you should be able to take care of yourself while you have fun there.
Q: Eeerrmmm....come wit my Jrock costume can???
:: I'll be there! Wonder if I should cosplay though. Hm.
A: no problem! your jrock costume (like all other jrockers in their PV) were made to dance and sing in! yours is no exception~
:: dears, come in your costume~! dont you want to stand a chance to win the trip to AFA since you are going too? XD because less costumers/cosplayers means theres less competition - and that isnt the point of fun if you know youre gonna get it. (yes, costumers is not an issue at Anime-Me.)

Q: Let me get this straight; we'll be getting booze and there'll be anime music played instead of like the oldies played in ACGC finale (meh lame DJ)?

A: Anime-Me is a japanese-themed party at republic in sunway pyramid. basically what you get are: cosplay, dance, and great music (as i have explained before - anime remixes and local band John's Mistress with their latest japanese song Kimi)! oh and, have to agree yes, booze too.
Q: I must say though that I'm quite intrigued with the event. To my knowledge, this would be the first of it's kind, correct me if I'm wrong. I'd like to know how you guys managed to get The Republic Bar to endorse your event. That's if you are at a liberty to discuss such information.
A: Anime-me was not endorsed by republic. TCC was approached by republic to co-organize the themed party to raise awareness on japanese pop trend since John's Mistress will be the feature. if you need proof, do a quick reference at the Anime-Me poster bottom-left and you will notice supported by TheCosplayClub.
Q: but republic is a bar which serves alcohol, right... even if I just attend I don't think I'm comfortable enough to be there, because of the fact that I'm a Muslim inside a bar.
But I don't object the event being held there if it's the organizer's wish to have it there. Only... I guess it's just my luck that the place somehow... "intimidates" me?
A: naturally, it is a bar/club so naturally, its not right for me to encourage you to go to bar/club especially where they serve alcohol which is against your believes. and, no you dont have to apologise, your post was not offensive..
Q: I am wondering how the music will turn out as well. Hip hop/ RnB is more my style and something tells me remixing the anime music will make em techno-ish/house-ish which will make me puke after 2 and a half hours or so (it's damn boring after awhile coz the beat is the same.........)

A: yes youre right about the music style - the first post already mentioned it will be power-house of anime remixes. well, dont worry about the music as Anime-Me lasts around 2-and-a-half hours since it starts at 9.30pm (it closes around 2am? but some of us have curfew until midnight anyway. XD)
Q: Hmm that's odd. How do you know I know where it is? Well it's true that I work nearby but I don't really go to bars and such. But yeah I probably won't have any problems finding the place. Aoitenshi might be going with me and she should know where it is.

A: republic bar is situated along the side row from redbox corner. in other words, when you stand facing the lion head entrance, walk to your left towards redbox and then turn around the corner. republicbar is at the corner.
